Teaser Tuesdays: July 7th

It’s Teaser Tuesdays time! This is a weekly meme hosted by MizB over at A Daily Rhythm. If you want to take part, it’s super easy – this is all that’s to it:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser this week is from Chuck Wendig’s Mockingbird. I’m not super far in yet, but I am LOVING it.

“Returning moments later with a new body. This one carried over-shoulder, like a rolled-up rug. And it was then that Louis saw the flash of bleach-white and hot-pink and knew exactly who the man was carrying.”

I’ve heard of the title, but don’t know anything else about the book. Thanks for the teaser.

I didn’t know anything about it either going into it – I’ll admit it was a total cover buy. I think that was the best approach though, I’ve been very pleasantly surprised. =]

Good! That makes it worth checking into.

I’d keep reading. When I saw the title I thought I have the book on my shelf, but I have Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine.

I’m not familiar with that book, but I’ll have to check it out. And I’m definitely going to keep reading, trust me! =]

That’s a very telling teaser! You’ve got me curious.

After what I’ve read so far of Mockingbird, I’m right there with you!

Most certainly, though time will tell! =]
