Teaser Tuesdays: June 30th

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB over at A Daily Rhythm. It is super easy to join in. Here’s whats to it:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser this week is from What We See When We Read by Peter Mendelsund. It’s been a very quick yet interesting read thus far.

“When we imagine, out experiences of sensations are dulled, so as to distinguish these imagined senses from real cues. We “force” an experience in ” an almost intellectual way.”

So what are you guys reading? Any good teasers? Feel free to share! Until next time Happy Reading!

What a thought provoking teaser. I am not familiar with this book, but it sounds interesting.

It really is. I can’t speak for all readers but don’t often think about the imaginative part of reading at length which is probably horrible. This book is really getting me thinking about those less obvious, so to speak, aspects of reading.
