It’s time for another Teaser Tuesday! It’s hosted by MizB over at Should Be Reading and it’s super simple to participate. Here’s all that’s to it…
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
This weeks teaser is from The Needle in the Blood by Sarah Bower. I’m not very far into it yet, but I’ve been intrigued from the get go.
“He will not know her, Gytha reassures herself, of course he will not, after so many seasons, so many towns occupied, halls looted, woman and children killed. But if she lets him see her face he will recognise her loathing, sleek and fattened on its own bile, like the serpent endlessly consuming its own tail.”
