Teaser Tuesdays: July 1st

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly meme hosted by MizB over at Should Be Reading. Anyone can participate and the rules are simple:

• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
• BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I finally picked up book 2 of A Song of Ice and Fire!!! I’m so psyched to see what this book is going to hold. Here’s the teaser:

“And still the direwolves howled. The guards on the walls muttered curses, hounds in the kennels barked furiously, horses kicked at their stalls, the Walders shivered by their fire, and even Maester Luwin complained of sleepless nights.”

There’s my teaser for today. Feel free to link yours below so I can check it out! Happy Reading!

Game of Thrones! All my friends are buried in this series; gosh, I’m just hesitant because of the sexual content, is it explicit and detailed? Sorry, probably making things uncomfortable here :/ My friends refuse to answer the question!

Its not awkward at all and its a totally legitimate question. In my opinion the sex in the first book wasn’t bad at all. Mostly its just a mention of it happening with a couple of exceptions. Honestly they’re like a paragraph long and it can totally be skimmed. So I would say give it a shot because its totally worth it!

I’m sure, I’m still at the very beginning which is why I chose a teaser so early on. This has only sparked my excitement even more! Thanks for your comment!
